Aesthete Gallery Hamilton was first opened in 2006 by Fine Art Society New Zealand in the Anchor House building on the corner of Victoria and London Streets. The Gallery moved to its present location, one block further north, on the corner of Victoria and Rostrevor Streets in September 2009.
Fine Art Society director Grant Bezett had a long association with Hamilton; beginning with Parnham Gallery in 1976. With Grant's involvement and being able to utilise his knowledge and contacts Aesthete Gallery has established itself as the premier gallery in the Waikato area. Lyn Chapman worked with Grant from 2009 as a Fine Art Society director has been managing the gallery since 2012. She has become well known to local collectors and artists as someone who is passionate about the fine art handled by Aesthete Gallery. Lynden Earl has recently retired from a career in the law to follow her passion for fine art. Lynden and husband Murray have been avid collectors for over 40 years.
Aesthete Gallery's ongoing association with Fine Art Society New Zealand will ensure the gallery can continue to offer the very best fine art, both contemporary and historical.
